Intel Corporation announced the addition of key wireless capabilities for notebooks based on Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology, including ease-of-use software, advanced security features, and support for the three Wi-Fi standards. The new tri-mode wireless module (supporting IEEE standards 802.11a, b and g) and wireless software help make it faster and easier for end-users to set up a wireless connection with any Wi-Fi network, at the maximum available data rate.

August 23, 2004 Kingston Launches HyperX DDR2 Memory Modules
Kingston® Technology Company, Inc. announced the release of HyperX® DDR2 533-MHz (PC2-4300) and 675-MHz (PC2-5400) memory modules. Shipping immediately in limited quantities, Kingston® offers HyperX DDR2 modules tested to run at PC2-4300 and PC2-5400. These new HyperX DDR2 unbuffered DIMMs are available in capacities up to 1GB to support the latest generation of computer platforms (actual speed depends on various supported motherboards).

Kingston® Technology Company, Inc. recently instituted a lifetime warranty policy on most of its digital media products. According to the new lifetime warranty, if any of Kingston's Compact Flash®, MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital or Smart Media™ products fails at any time, and the failure is caused by a defect in material or workmanship, Kingston® will either repair or replace the product. Until now, the standard warranty on such products was five years.
