LSI Logic announced it has initiated co-development product planning with leading hard disk drive manufacturers Fujitsu, Maxtor, and Seagate. LSI Logic will use its Fusion-MPT (Message Passing Technology) architecture as the basis for the evolution of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) silicon.
